During the summer of 2012 I took an amazing class titled, The Pattern Bar: Designing in Glass, as part of Miami University’s Craft Summer Program. Instructor, Sandra Gross, taught us all about how to design and work in glass specifically how to create a pattern bar in glass. I am so excited to finally be able to apply some of these skills into the classroom at UCHS. Last week the Introduction to 3D students completed their very own glass fusing. Students learned about the history of glass, the local Cincinnati Artist Sandra Gross, and became skilled in how to cut and fuse glass. Check out their work in progress.
